Photographer Andy Crawford just phoned in a dispatch from the water. He’s on Hunter Bland and Brandon Palaniuk, both of whom are fishing at Cherokee Dam.
Bland is targeting riprap, while Palaniuk is more offshore, eyeballing his Humminbird and it’s 360 technology, while slowly working a bait on the bottom.
The bigger story is yet to come. The wind. The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a Wind Advisory, with southwesterly winds at 15 mph, with gusts to 25 mph by weigh-in time.
That could make boat positioning difficult for the anglers running and gunning the main lake points.
