When I saw one of our legends, Rick Clunn, moving up in the standings, we decided to go find him.
Clunn has never been much a talker out on the water. I asked what his plan was, and he said “Well, Shane, I really don’t have one.” So we just went fishing.
After staying with Clunn for an hour and him only catching two short fish, he said, “Hey Shane, the fish can hear you. I have a simple mind, and your quiet conversation there with your boat driver is distracting me.” Then he snickers, I think.
Five minutes later, he put this 8-pound, 10-ounce lunker in the boat. Maybe he was right.
