Cory Johnston had an equipment issue late this morning that took him out of the game for a bit. He’s now in a borrowed boat and back to catching smallmouth bass. We’ve seen him cull twice, only gaining a few ounces each time. Johnston is seeing plenty of bass here at the western end of the St. Lawrence River.
Johnston is a favorite here because his home is not far away in Canada. He’s working hard to get back on track, while currently sitting in 30th place with nearly 14 pounds.
