Delay, lightning factor

The wind has finally kicked back up, blowing from the north at a breezy 6 mph. But it’s not helping Patrick Walters, currently in fourth in the BassTrakk standings with no bass in the livewell.

“The delay hurt this area,” Walters said.

Yesterday, Walters lit up the scoreboard early, approaching his limit over 22 pounds by 9 a.m. That’s when the flurry subsided.

Walters also mentioned the lightning from what the National Weather Service called a Dangerous Thunderstorm Alert, which hit the area at 6 a.m. this morning, lasting over one hour. Bass in shallow water and lightning don’t mix well, which is a known fact.
