Earnest off to a good start

Jennings Earnest was boat 194 this morning and decided to start relatively close to the ramp and so far, it has been productive morning.

While he has been catching them all morning, he landed a 3-pounder about 10:40 to go along with the 2-and-a-half he already has in the box.

It had been about a 30 minute difference between the first and second keeper.

When he started this morning, the bass were off the point he started on, but he believes the boat traffic and wake have pushed them shallower on this particular spot.

Earnest said he can catch one or two bass off each point, but he will quickly leave and let the fish settle down and then come back later in the day and try again.
