After about two hours of not catching fish, Day 1 leader Patrick Walter looked up and shouted, “God I’m having fun!”
It didn’t sound one bit sarcastic. That appears to be Walters’ attitude on most days, no matter how empty his livewell is.
Approaching the noon hour Walters has two fish for 7 or 8 pounds. He has been fishing deep for the past two hours. Now he’s moved back to the shallow spot where he filled his limit yesterday.
