There was a feeling this morning that this big change in wind and temperatures was going to kick things into gear.
Andy Crawford is covering James Casteel, and I’m on John Hunter. Neither of us has seen our leaders kick much into gear. But that’s the ways it’s been for both all week. The sacks they’ve built have taken all day.
But in an event without Marshals and BASSTrakk it’s hard to know if the expected higher gear is kicking in for the rest of the field. Regardless this is a perfect spring (even though it’s still winter) fishing day. Enough wind to move things around and position fish so you would think at any minute that green fish would be flying over the gunwales. But this is Florida. They do things differently down here.
