The Little Tennessee a factor?

About as far as a boat can run up through Tellico, where the lake necks down into the river and the current is strong, is some very tasty looking water.

We made the trip, and I’d guess were an hour and 20 minutes or so from downtown Knoxville where the main launch site is.

Interestingly, the water is in fine shape in Tellico. Some creeks are muddy, but overall most of the water we’ve seen this morning looks great.

We saw eight to 10 anglers make the trip down this way, and I’d guess there will be more as the official tournament days get underway.

From what we can see, the anglers are mostly bouncing around checking new spots to testing viability. Lots to be learned yet.
