Wes Logan, of Springville, Alabama just boated his fifth keeper with roughly 40 minutes left to fish.
Logan originally planned on making the run to Rodman, but decided to stay close and maximize his fishing time. A solid limit may not seem like a big deal after the Day 1 Weigh-in, but if Wes can salvage a good start and execute on his original game plan in following days, he will be in good shape.
It seemed as if quite a few anglers made the same decision today, to just survive and see what they can do tomorrow with a full day of fishing.
