Mullins still in the AOY race

David Mullins isn’t fishing today on Lake Fork, but he could still win the Bassmaster Angler of the Year title. Here’s the scenario for that to happen: 1) Clark Wendlandt finishes no higher than 32nd, and 2) Jake Whitaker finishes no higher than 18th.

Mullins finished 47th yesterday, missing the top 40 cut by 20 ounces. He had only two keepers that weighed a total of 8-11. His points total for the season is now final – 677.

Wendlandt starts the day in 19th place, but if he falls to 32nd, earning 69 AOY points, his total for the season would be 676. Whitaker started the day in 27th place. If he finishes 18th, earning 82 AOY points, Whitaker’s total for the season would be 676 points.
