Mullins makes a switch

All morning, and for most of the tournament thus far, David Mullins has used a crankbait to probe the edges of isolated vegetation. With the sunnier, calmer and slick surface conditions he just switched to a Texas-rigged worm. Within minutes a nearly 5-pounder was slipped into his livewell. The upgrade was crucial—early today Mullins lost a fish of equal size on the crankbait.

We will likely see other anglers follow suit, making necessary lure adjustments to compensate for the lack of clouds and wind that dominated the weather of Thursday.
