Nania gets a current break

With a noticeable current in his area, Joey Nania took advantage of it and moved to a shallow, rocky point tapering into the river channel. The rocks create a current break, where Nania is pitching and casting his bait into what clearly is an ambush point being used by the bass to feed on passing baitfish.

He’s not going anywhere, nor does he need to. Nania is staying on the spot with the chance of culling up, as you see in this photo taken by Andy Crawford.

BASSTrakk shows him holding steady in fourth place with 12 pounds, 2 ounces.
