Cell service is marginal in Tellico Lake so any news gets covered. Andy Crawford just phoned in this dispatch:
“The water temperature is in the low 40s in the main lake. However, in the shallow, muddy pockets it’s 10 degrees warmer. The 50-degree, muddy water has also stimulated baitfish activity, and the same for the bass.”
I just came off the water at midlake shooting an aerial gallery. The water temperature was reaching the high 40s, with baitfish activity throughout the area and the anglers beginning to catch fish.
