Sun’s up, bass are biting

When the clock struck 11 a.m., it seemingly turned on the bass in Lake Guntersville. Maybe they just needed some sunshine after the 43-degree morning.

Since 11 o’clock, Scott Canterbury has added three keepers, Randy Sullivan has caught two, Brandon Cobb has two and Bob Downey has landed a 5-pounder. Most importantly for leader Frank Talley, his modified Strike King Sexy Frog has produced a bass big enough to cull. He’s up to 16-2 on BASSTrakk, and he’s got every bit of that.
