DAR looking to build on impressive Day 1

Not too far down from the Briarwood Christian team is the eighth-place team of Cole Edwards and Seth Stubblefield from DAR High School, who caught 12-2 on Day 1.

Edwards said yesterday started off slow, but once the TVA started pulling more water their fortunes changed and they started catching better quality.

Currently, they have one fish in the livewell. So far, they have rotated through a couple different baits, pulling grass off after every cast.

The duo fishes Guntersville on a regular basis and have been able to use their experience on that body of water this week.

Briarwood Christian lands first keeper

The Briarwood Christian team of Carson Miller and Ben Cornish are looking to build off of their 8-5 performance yesterday.

Sitting in 67th after Day 1, the duo is fishing a spot on the main river channel and rotating through several different baits in an effort to get a bite.

This particular spot is one they’ve fished before, including yesterday. Fishing a slower technique, the duo just landed their first keeper bass of the day. It’s a bass they hope to cull out by the end of the day.

New Hampshire team trying something new on Day 2

We are out on Lake Chickamauga for Day 2 of the Mossy Oak Bassmaster High School National Championship presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors.

Cloudy conditions have overtaken the area this morning, but a Head Advisory has been issued for later this afternoon.

Currently, Cole Moulton and Ian Moulton are fishing a river ledge south of takeoff. The New Hampshire duo landed two keeper fish yesterday for 4 pounds, 14 ounces, but could not fill out their limit.

After a tough Day 1, they are trying something new today. The spot they are fishing currently had a big school on it in practice but they were unable to fire it up. They hope their fortunes change today.

Cole is one of the 12 high school anglers from across the country selected as 2021 Bassmaster All-Americans.

More to come from moving day!
