Vegas anglers fill limit

Doren and Lachniet made a move from their row of docks to a grassy area in the back of one of the more popular creeks on Lake Chickamauga.

Their move has paid off with a 15-inch keeper largemouth as well as an estimated 3-pound bass that filled out their limit.

“This is our fastest start this week,” Doren said.

The area they are currently in has produced several of their big fish during the week. Currently, jigs and chatterbaits have been the baits of choice in this particular area.

While other boats in the creek have fished the main creek channel and deeper grass beds, Doren and Lachniet have stuck to the shallower grass flats and have found success.

With their fast start, they have the rest of the day to upgrade and expect their afternoon bite to be even more productive.
