Walker settling in

Day 1 leader, Jacob Walker, has a solid keeper in the boat early on Day 2. “I’m not going to get a lot of bites, but the ones I get will be the right ones,” said Walker after boating his first keeper.

Walker seems to be calm this morning, but he definitely understands what’s at stake. “This just means a lot man,” said 22-year-old Walker.

Walker is spending his mornings up the river to catch a limit of spotted bass and making his way down the lake later in the day to hunt for largemouth. One thing Walker has emphasized is how difficult it is to figure out a pattern. With that being said, he’s been rotating through a variety of baits and fishing whatever is in front of him.

Today’s conditions are considerably different than those on Day 1. We have had constant rain and overcast skies all morning. Walker thinks that the bite should be better today, it just might take a few adjustments to make it happen.
