Day 1 of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Tour presented by Bass Pro Shops kicks off at Toledo Bend today. Cold temperatures, rain and wind have been the theme of practice this week, but that is supposed to stop soon. The last band of rain has hit Many, La. and should be gone by 10 a.m. CT.
Many teams practiced on Wednesday despite the uptick in terrible weather. Numerous teams wish they hadn’t because they didn’t feel like it accomplished much.
When teams arrived last weekend for practice, water temperatures were in the mid to low 60’s. Yesterday before practice finished teams saw water temperature in the 52-degree range. That drop doesn’t seem drastic, but it is for South Louisiana fish.
