As we mine through the forest checking in on the Top 40 today, we’ve rolled up on Brad Whatley. Whatley’s got 3 in the boat for roughly six pounds and he’s flipping a worm around the cypress trees. Just as we were discussing his day, Whatley set the hook on what he felt like was a good fish only to be broken off. He dropped his rod in frustration, sat down in the boat and began to load up a new cricket.
In each of the first two days, Whatley has brought a kicker fish to the stage. He’ll need a few today if he’s going to hang around for Sunday.
