“I can’t believe no one is here,” Cherry murmured over and over.
We pulled into one cove in which schooling bass blew up several times in the 10 minutes during which we sat and watched, and not a single boat was there.
“This is an area I know you could come into and catch them,” Cherry said.
He eased around one area of schooling bass, and his electronics registered a number of footballs lounging about near the bottom.
And Cherry said he could absolutely catch those bigger fish.
“The reason I know they would bite is because they weren’t right on the bottom; they were up off the bottom,” he said.
