Zaldain on the board

After kicking back a keeper and catching a few shorts, Chris Zaldain is on the board this morning with a 3-pound class fish.

We have to believe he hopes to cull that one by day’s end but he has a start. He’s mixing things up with a swimbait and a drop shot as he works the rocky edge of the flat.

Unlike the previous three days, the wind is a little stronger. It’s making it just bumpy enough to bob him around. But not rough enough (yet) to make it tough to fish.

It’s definitely an angler’s wind, which could bode well for him and the rest of the field.
