Livingston to unveil new product at Bassmaster Classic

San Antonio, Texas – Livingston Lures, a leading manufacturer of technologically advanced fishing lures, will be front and center during the upcoming 2018 GEICO® Bassmaster Classic®. The Classic will be held in Greenville, South Carolina, March 16-18.

Team Livingston Competitors – Livingston’s team of professional anglers will be well-represented during the Bassmaster competition on Lake Hartwell. Within a field of 52 world-class anglers, three Team Livingston professionals are competing: Randy Howell, 2014 Bassmaster Classic Champion; Jacob Powroznik, 2014 Bassmaster Elite champion; and Hank Cherry, 2013 All Star Champion.

“It was the Livingston Howeller DMC that helped me jump ahead of the competition to take home the trophy in 2014,” Howell said. “The Classic is considered the ‘Super Bowl of bass fishing,’ and I can’t wait for this year’s tournament.”

The Latest Livingston Products – At the 2018 Bassmaster Classic, Livingston will be unveiling the Sprocket, the world’s first soft plastic swimbait with acoustic sound powered by Electronic Baitfish Sound (EBS) Technology™. Livingston will also be showcasing its revolutionary lures that feature EBS at the Bassmaster Classic Outdoor Expo, which is held in conjunction with the tournament. Known as the biggest expo in freshwater fishing, the free event will be in Greenville’s TD Convention Center. Anglers of all ages are encouraged to stop by Booth #527 to catch up on the latest Livingston products, such as the Sprocket and the Freddy B.—a soft plastic lure that emits the actual biological sounds of a frog, powered by its EBS technology! The booth will be open: 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 16; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Livingston manufactures lures that emit the actual biological sounds of baitfish—such as herring, shad, perch and more—and are effective at twice the distance of conventional lures. This means anglers can now move beyond the limitations of more conventional bass lures, which rely on beads and rattles to try and attract fish. Livingston’s EBS products have been scientifically proven to attract fish at a distance that’s double to quadruple the effective range of other lures.
