Gear Review: Plano EDGE Flex Series

WHAT IS IT?

Plano EDGE Flex Series

WHAT SETS IT APART?

The Plano 3600 and 3700 long ago set the standard for utility boxes. The new EDGE Flex Series demonstrates the brand’s commitment of continuing to make its class-leading products even better. Simply put, the EDGE Flex series is the first utility box to allow the user to fully customize the interior to suit their needs. You get the best possible combination of storage and customization in a single tacklebox. Each box has Plano’s Rustrictor, a rust-preventing technology molded into the base. A Dri-Loc watertight seal and patent-pending, water absorbing Water Wick desiccant dividers ward off moisture. The EZ label system and crystal-clear DuraView lid make it easy to identify contents.

HOW DO I USE IT?

The foundation of the EDGE Flex is the proprietary divider system. Each box comes with five 4X Dividers, six 3X Dividers, nine 2X Dividers and 18 1X Dividers. The interlocking, pre-cut dividers can be configured in any possible configuration. Create small or large, short or long and any combination of storage compartments.

HOW MUCH?

$34.99 (3600)

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:

I have fewer boxes to keep up with thanks to the new EDGE Flex technology. I can take an empty 3600 and fill it with soft plastics, terminal tackle, weights and hooks all in one box. Think individual boxes for Ned rigs, drop shots and the like. Instead of taking the larger boxes and bags of plastics and hard baits, I simply consolidate only what I need for a trip into an EDGE Flex box. These are also ideal for transferring baits (and small tools) from your bass boat into smaller, individual boxes with everything needed for a day of kayak or shoreline angling. Best of all, I always know exactly where everything is located. It’s all in one box.
