Catch live coverage of two Bassmaster Elite events on ESPN2

Sports fans will have three ways to watch the world's best anglers with upcoming live tournament coverage on ESPN2, ESPN3 and Bassmaster.com.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —  Following the Bassmaster Elite at Lake Eufaula, where almost 2.8 million viewers got hooked on fishing during four days of real-time coverage, ESPN2 will televise more on-the-water action from two upcoming Bassmaster tournaments.

Complementing the award-winning Bassmaster LIVE coverage on Bassmaster.com and ESPN3 that fans are familiar with during an Elite Series event, viewers can catch exciting on-the-water action from the SiteOne Bassmaster Elite at St. Lawrence River July 23-26 as well as the Bassmaster Elite at Lake Champlain July 30-Aug. 2 on ESPN2.

During the telecasts, expect to see two stunning New York fisheries — Lake Champlain finished No. 11 on the Bassmaster Magazine list of Best Bass Lakes of the Decade while the St. Lawrence River came in at No. 12. It is worth noting that the St. Lawrence was named 2019’s No. 1 fishery. Champlain’s incredible smallmouth have watched their largemouth cousins steal some of the limelight recently, but anglers are sure to bring giants of both to the scales. Meanwhile, Elite Series pro Micah Frazier brought in a massive 25-pound, 9-ounce limit on Day 4 of the 2019 Bassmaster Elite at St. Lawrence River to take the win after starting his day in 10th place.

B.A.S.S. has worked in conjunction with local hosts to ensure the events adhere to guidelines issued by the State of New York for professional sports competitions, which include diagnostic testing and protocols for daily health screenings for all athletes and staff, along with a host of other safety and social distancing measures. Under these guidelines, no fans or spectators are allowed to attend events, even those held at outdoor venues.

“We are thankful to all of our local hosts who are helping B.A.S.S. to navigate the state’s mandates so we can safely bring the fun of competition and beauty of these fisheries into the homes of millions of fans via our live, on-the-water coverage on Bassmaster.com, ESPN3 and ESPN2,” said Bruce Akin, B.A.S.S. CEO. “While fans are unable to attend lakeside weigh-ins, we’re excited that our fans can at least enjoy these events from their home or office.”
