USA Cares and Bradley Roy to host 2nd Annual Stars & Stripes Bass Open

HERRINGTON LAKE, Ky. – Calling all anglers. This June, USA Cares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting military families in crisis, and Bassmaster Elite Series angler Bradley Roy will join forces to present the 2nd Annual Stars & Stripes Bass Open at Herrington Lake, Ky.

We set up two tournaments this year to raise some money for USA Cares, because the fishing industry has been huge for military members. Fishermen have big hearts, a soft spot for helping veterans,” said tournament co-host Bradley Roy. “We thought what better way to help than to put on a great tournament for some fishermen and raise some money for USA Cares at the same time.”

The first of the 2017 Stars & Stripes Bass Open tournaments will kick off at Herrington Lake on Saturday, June 10 at 7 p.m. and run until 3 a.m. the following morning at Chimney Rock Marina, located at 250 Chimney Rock Road in Harrodsburg, Ky.

A $2,500 grand prize is guaranteed to first place; additional places will be determined for every 10 boats registered. All tournament proceeds will benefit USA Cares and their veteran and military family assistance programs. Early registration costs $80, increasing to $90 during the week of the tournament. All participants are encouraged to pre-register online at www.starsandstripes17.eventbrite.com or in person at Angler’s Outpost & Marine located at 96 South Camp Dick Road in Lancaster, Ky.
