Bassmaster Magazine's list of the Best Bass Lakes is a little different this year. Seven lakes from the Northeast made it into the overall top 25 (Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair, Lake Champlain, St. Lawrence River, Lake Oneida, Candlewood Lake and Lake Charlevoix.) In addition to the Top 25 of the Decade, here are the "best of the rest" lakes in the Northeastern region over the past ten years.

Burt and Mullet lakes are in the northern tip of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. They are named for the men who surveyed the area.

The Upper Chesapeake is entirely in the state of Maryland, and features the Susquehanna and Elk rivers.
