Bassmaster Elite Series pro Keith Combs hosted his fifth annual tournament to raise money for wounded veterans through non-profit Warrior’s Weekend -- Texas.

The 5th Annual Keith Combs Sam Rayburn Slam, with 100 percent payback and online auctions and raffles, was held Sunday, Dec. 13 at Umphrey Pavilion on Lake Sam Rayburn near Combs’ home of Huntington, Texas.

The event, normally held in October, was moved because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, making it more of a winter tournament than a conventional fall event. And winter weather is what they got as a cold front brought heavy rain and winds just after the scales opened at 3 p.m.

Sam Rayburn still showed out with multiple 20-pound bags and several big bass over 8 pounds. Horace Frazier shows off his best.

Dean and Deborah Perkins had fun despite the elements, finishing 19th with 14.93.

Kyle and Richard Dragulski weighed in 20.28 to take sixth place.

Brian Lowrance and Jarrett Latta finished in fifth place with 20.40.

Wyatt Frankens and Cody Barchenger teamed up to finish fourth with 20.51.

Fishing solo, John Frazier landed 20.85 to finish third.

In second place with 21.11 were Cole Moore and Colby Miller.

Eric Brigman, also fishing by himself, took the victory with 23.25 pounds.

Brigman took home $5,000 for his efforts.

The big bass award went to Kris Wilson and Harold Moore with this 9.13 beast.

The live release tank was manned by Huntington High School volunteers Caden Alexander, Colyer Martin and Colton Mosley.

Combs also had a big thank you for SETX High School Fishing Association and Brady Tucker for running the weigh-in.
