Loving New York’s North Country

The northern swing of the Bassmaster Elites began in New York with back-to-back events on the St. Lawrence River and Lake Champlain. While the anglers were on the water, their significant others and family members enjoyed a variety of activities in the North Country of New York state. The scenery alone is worth visiting, as evidenced by Keri Lintner’s shot from the shore of Lake Champlain.

Bobbi Chapman, wife of longtime Elite Brent, and her crew got downright adventurous in Ausable Chasm, a natural wonder known as the “Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks.”

The Chapman children, Mason and Makayla, were a part of a group that took on the rock walls and foot bridges in Ausable Chasm, a sandstone gorge near Keeseville, N.Y.

Also on the cancelled day, a group including Casey Ashley, Marty Robinson, Kevin VanDam and Jonathon VanDam, made its way over the lake to Vermont. The draw there was the Ben and Jerry’s Factory Tour and Ice Cream Shop in Waterbury.
