“My heart can’t take it!” yelled Bill Lowen, as he slid his second keeper, a 3-pound smallie, into his livewell. He is fishing an area with very heavy current. These brown bass already have a bulldog, never-quit attitude. However, when you add a two mph current to the mix, the battle, considering the light spinning tackle being used, is intense. That said, Lowen has not lost many fish over the past two days … so the heartbreak level has been minimal. Perhaps that will balance his cardiac issues for the rest of the day.
