Back on my old stomping grounds this week for the upcoming Bassmaster Open on Chickamauga. And whatdya know, another big head pushing 9 pounds.
Left the big fish factory known as the Harris Chain where I’ve caught more than 10 this size or bigger already this year, and then I land another one in the first few hours of practice. Big fish smell must be lingering on my clothes. I’m just hoping it doesnt fade come derby time.
I landed her confidently on my Fitzgerald Stunner rod paired with Quantum PT reel spooled with Vursa Braid. On a side note, I know I gotta big mouth, but Old Betsy puts me to shame. Lots of daylight to dark this week, stay tuned.
