Fish high or low

Take your pick: Fish high, muddy conditions uplake or go below Minnesota Bend and fish the lower end. Above the bend the water is over 4 feet higher than the lower end.

That’s where Clark Wendlandt is now, which is also in the BassTrakk lead with 13 pounds, 4 ounces. What’s telling about his scene is lower water, and a very distinct mud line moving down the lower end of the river. Wendlandt is obviously fishing the clear water side, which coincidentally could be the clearest water available on the lake at this time.

What makes this unique are the variety of patterns in play due to the varying water levels.
