No surprises

Photographer Andy Crawford is on a mission to fill an on-the-water gallery and the going is slow.

The overview is there is lots of moving boat traffic. From the dozen or more anglers I spoke with yesterday, that is no surprise. All admitted the bass are offshore and midshore (mostly), with sparse numbers in the hallowed spawning areas.

Andy spent time covering Scott Martin (pictured), who had three keepers caught using the long rod tactics. Same for other anglers. Flipping and pitching seem to be the trend.

On the weather side, the skies are overcast and the wind is calm. Not the most ideal conditions for pinpointing moving bass.

Buy hey, this is the five lakes of the Kissimmee Chain. Anything can happen at anytime.
