Yesterday some of the guys I talked to when doing Dock Talk spoke about the size of the smallmouth, this year, when compared to last year.
“They just came off the spawn and are skinnier than last year,” said Brandon Lester. “They lost some weight and don’t seem to be of the same weight.”
Will that make a difference? In this game of pounds and ounces, maybe. But this is also Lake Champlain, where smallmouth live in abundance.
