Alabama’s Gerald Swindle is off to a great start on Day 2 of the Farmers Insurance Bassmaster Elite at St. Lawrence River.
The 18-time Bassmaster Classic qualifier has spent the majority of his morning roaming a mid-depth flat with submerged vegetation and picking off a keeper here and there until just moments ago. Swindle found a group of fish in an area as long as his boat and has taken advantage of it.
“I don’t know why they’re here, but they’re here,” said Swindle after boating his best fish of the morning.
Swindle also mentioned that by this time yesterday, he didn’t have nearly the bag that he has now. He still has plenty of room to cull up with three fish in the livewell under three pounds.
