New Bassmaster Store items benefit Autism Speaks and promote #FishSmart

April is Autism Awareness month and B.A.S.S. is recognizing it with a few new items in the Bassmaster Store.

The B.A.S.S. logo has been modified to include the puzzle pieces you see associated with autism. B.A.S.S. will donate 50 percent of sticker sales and $10 for every shirt sold to the group Autism Speaks, whose mission is to promote solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of people with autism and their families.

One Elite angler who has made it part of his life to promote autism awareness is John Crews. In past years, every April he held a competition among Elite anglers based on who caught the most weight during the month, and presented an award to that angler, all with the goal of raising money and awareness for autism.

“B.A.S.S. has been very supportive of our Autism Awareness efforts each April since we started. Now, B.A.S.S. has their own autism donations going from sales of autism items. This makes me very happy!” said John Crews.

Another new addition to the store is a shirt promoting the B.A.S.S. campaign #FishSmart. This campaign is about focusing on fishing wisely and enjoying time with family during these uncertain times.
