Gear Review: Daiwa Procyon AL Spinning Reel

What is it?

Daiwa Procyon AL Spinning Reel

What sets it apart?

The AL series Procyon is back with all new features offering anglers a higher performance line of spinning reels with sizes ranging from the 2000D for freshwater fish to the 4000D-C for large freshwater and inshore applications. The reel is loaded with features including a lightweight aluminum body designed to feel great in hand. The drag system features Daiwa’s new ATD drag system which initially adds resistance to the drag on the hookset, and when the fish begins to pull drag, it will automatically return to the drag setting you choose. This eliminates the need to loosen the drag throughout the fight and give you more time to focus on landing the fish.

How do I use it?

Pair this reel with your favorite spinning rod and head to the water. Even with lighter baits, the reel is equipped with a Daiwa Long Cast ABS spool, which means less resistance and longer casts.
