Gear Review: Denali Rods Lithium Pro Series

WHAT IS IT?

Denali Rods Lithium Pro Series

WHAT SETS IT APART?

Denali took a fresh approach to upgrading its Lithium lineup with the Lithium Pro Series. Insight from top-tier pro anglers provided direction on new aesthetics and new models that carry forward the features that made the lithium series a premium selection. Focusing on technique-specific rods, Denali reintroduces the Lithium Series with the new Pro Series boasting a 20% weight reduction and three new models.

HOW DO I USE IT?

Rods feature IM8+ graphite blanks, Interloc blank technology for extra strength and 304 Stainless Royal Duraloc semi-micro guides. An ultra-light ergonomic reel seat and AAA cork handles (split and full grip on certain models) are standouts. The series includes four spinning models and 16 baitcasting models, with three new rods. Those are two medium/heavy cranking rods and another extra-heavy model for frogging and other stout uses. The original lineup’s woven silver graphite finish added a nice visual, but losing that material and going with the basic black finish was a weight saver that’ll translate into greater sensitivity and less overall fatigue.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:

Denali did a good job of covering the bases with rods tooled for a broad range of common bass tactics. The spinning rods include models designed for general finesse, drop shotting shaky heads and heavier duties. Meanwhile, the baitcasting rod lineup includes models made for jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, worms and jigs, frogs, swimbaits and flipping techniques. There is something for everyone in the lineup.
